WebFOCUS Training: Introduction to WebFOCUS

WebFOCUS training for those who have little FOCUS experience, that's what this course is designed to accomplish.  InfoDesign Inc. has been working with FOCUS since 1977.  In our experience, to be successful, training has to be extremely relevant to what the people taking the training are trying to accomplish.  Once finished with the training, people need to exercise the skills they learn soon after taking the training or the value of the training falls off sharply.  In designing this course we talked to a number of people in different organizations.  One common theme we heard was that the WebFOCUS training that they had received just didn't have enough in common with what they were trying to accomplish.  This left them with very few transferable skills.  There were two key  areas that were deficient.  First, the data (TABLE FILE CAR) was not  relevant to their work and it made transferring the lessons learned in the training difficult. Second, that a single training course didn't cover all the skills needed to do meaningful work.

This course is unique. First, we spend the extra time needed to make sure that examples use your data and cover things that you need to know. Second, we have a number of different modules so that we can 'customize' the course for your needs.  While this approach won't make you a WeFOCUS expert, it will give you the basic skills needed to get you started.  A good foundation is essential.  With that foundation, people can further their skills through experience, interacting with others and taking advanced training courses. Without that foundation, they can easily flounder. We believe this approach maximizes the value of your training dollars.  Because it's not how much you spend for a course, that's important.  The real determination of the value is in the productivity of the people who take the course.

If this approach sounds right for your organization, contact InfoDesign Inc. today to discuss this course.
